Weigel’s, East Tennessee’s oldest local dairy, has opened its newest full-service convenience store in Clinton, at 2409 Charles G. Seivers Boulevard. The state-of-the-art convenience store is Knoxville-based Weigel’s 63rd store.

A first for Weigel’s at this interstate location off I-75 are four wide diesel fuel bays. Long drive-thrus on entrance and exit make access easy for the store’s professional drivers or guests traveling with RVs and travel trailers, according to the company. DEF is available at the pump, and the location is fully equipped with Comdata for convenient and quick payment solutions.

“Serving our customers in an expedited way is the focus of our new store,” said Ken McMullen, president of Weigel’s Stores. “This is our first location that’s fully equipped to service trucking professionals with large, easy-to-access diesel lanes, SmartQ technology and DEF is available at the pump.”

Fresh paninis, pizzas, burritos, quesadillas and hot soft pretzels are self-ordered from a guest-friendly touch screen ordering system. Weigel’s Kitchens also makes Barista-Made specialty espresso drinks like lattes and cappuccinos from organic espresso beans and award-winning Weigel’s milk. Real-fruit smoothies with nutritional boosters also are offered as a quick and healthy meal alternative, Weigel’s says.

“Many of our guests travel over the road both professionally and recreationally, so we want to have healthy and well-balanced menu items that will satisfy drivers and whole families,” said McMullen. “Our new Weigel’s Kitchens allow our guests to get what they want, how they want it and be on their way.”BLESSED #64 Diesel Lanes3

Fresh milk continues to be delivered locally from Weigel’s Powell dairy, established in 1931. All Weigel’s milk is from local East Tennessee dairy farmers and is delivered from farm to table within 24 hours.

The new store also offers Weigel’s fresh-baked goods like donuts, muffins and cookies, delivered daily from Weigel’s Knoxville-based bakery. It features no-fee ATMs as well.

“We’re all about convenience, and giving our guests the best value for their hard-earned money,” added McMullen.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony is planned for Wednesday, Jan. 20. A special grand-opening celebration will begin Monday, Jan. 25, and run through Jan. 31.
