“The grocery retail industry has been undergoing a major transformation from brick and mortar to online during recent years. Independent retailers face fierce competition and, with limited resources, creating an online service that is better than Amazon is not easy. We have more than half a decade experience in running online grocery business with our customers and we have created the world’s only fully behaviorally personalized online grocery platform. By providing Foodie.fm platform as a hosted solution to independent retailers we are confident that we are able to make them relevant again and also increase their reach and sales. We are excited to work with Wynn’s Market and bring their concept online,” said Kalle Koutajoki, CEO of Digital Foodie.
Added Tim Wynn, owner of Wynn’s Market, “The process to get started with Foodie was very easy. With their experience in running online business we felt very comfortable to get started. We were also very impressed about Foodie’s technology and think that we get access to technology that even the large national chains don’t have. We are also one of the first ones to start online sales in Naples region, which gives us competitive advantage over our competition.”
Wynn’s Market customers will be able to create baskets and order either online or with their mobile devices. Customers can choose the most convenient pickup or delivery time. Customers and their families can modify their orders until the order has been selected for picking and are notified when the order is close to be delivered or the status of the order changes making the delivery process very transparent.
