All Ahold USA Stores Offer 100 Percent Sustainably Sourced Seafood, And More…

Ahold USA said March 3 that all seafood sold from the service counters at its retail divisions of Stop & Shop New England, Stop & Shop New York Metro, Giant Landover and Giant Carlisle are now 100 percent sustainably and responsibly sourced. In addition, 100 percent of Ahold USA’s Nature’s Promise and Own Brand seafood products are sustainably sourced, including frozen shrimp and canned tuna. In total, customers will find more than 200 sustainable seafood items at Ahold USA’s retail divisions…

The U.S. Agriculture Committee has passed legislation that establishes national standards for food made with genetically engineered ingredients, or GMOs. The bill, passed by the full House of Representatives, now goes to a vote by the full Senate.
