Dunnhumby Makes Strategic Investment In Aptaris

Dunnhumby, the world’s leading customer science company, says it has taken an equity stake in Aptaris, an enterprise marketing and promotions management technology innovator. This investment follows the announcement of a strategic partnership agreement in January between dunnhumby and Aptaris to integrate their complementary software solutions.

Throughout its 25-year history, dunnhumby says it has been on the forefront of innovation in retail. Since the 2010 acquisition of KSS Retail and 2011 acquisition of BzzAgent, dunnhumby has been actively building out its core capabilities through acquisitions, partnerships, strategic investments and the creation of a corporate venture fund.

By partnering with Aptaris, dunnhumby is able to extend its market-leading science and data analytics to more retailers than ever before. This investment accelerates joint development on a new single, end-to-end promotions management solution unlike any other on the market, according to the companies. Aptaris powered by dunnhumby will enable stakeholders in the promotions planning process to:

Conduct real-time modeling and simulation on vendor promotional offers;

Forecast the impact of the total advertising circular performance; and

• Make smarter choices that drive category growth and long term customer loyalty.
