Save Mart Supermarkets has changed its corporate name to The Save Mart Companies, effective June 20. The company has been operating under the store names of Save Mart, Lucky, Lucky California, FoodMaxx, S-Mart and MaxxValue. According to The Save Mart Cos., in addition to providing a clear distinction between its Save Mart stores and the parent company, the new company name better represents the collective strength of the corporate entity.

In addition to its retail operations, The Save Mart Cos. owns and operates three distribution centers and Smart Refrigerated Transport, which delivers product to Save Mart’s 205 stores in California and Northern Nevada. The Save Mart Cos. is a partner in Super Store Industries, which operates a distribution center in Lathrop, California, and the Sunnyside Farms Dairies in Fairfield and Turlock, California, which produce fluid milk, ice cream and various dairy by-products distributed under the Sunnyside Farms brand.

The new corporate name comes with its own logo and website, TheSaveMartCompanies.com, which will launch July 15.
