Bashas’ Supermarkets opened the doors to its newly remodeled grocery store at the northwest corner of N. Power Road and E. McDowell Road in Mesa, Arizona, during a grand reopening celebration on July 13. The refresh included a new layout and expanded offerings and amenities, including:
- An ice cream shop in the bakery department, where shoppers will be able to enjoy treats by the scoop—just in time for National Ice Cream Day (Sunday, July 17);
- A new sushi bar by the deli, which will have chefs assembling fresh rolls that are available in grab-and-go packages;
- A new Starbucks coffee shop; and
- An expanded Natural Choice area with a wider selection of better-for-you foods.
The first 200 shoppers who spent $50 or more on opening day received a free bag of groceries. The grand reopening festivities continued through Saturday, July 16, with Villa Roma Sausage Grill offering $1 brat and soda deals from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Other food demonstrations and samples were set up throughout the store.
