Allen Harim Enters Exclusive Partnership With C&S Wholesale

Allen Harim, a Delaware-based poultry producer and processor, has established an exclusive partnership with C&S Wholesale Grocers to distribute its signature Nature’s Sensation to independent grocers nationwide.

“This partnership positions our company for tremendous growth moving forward,” said Jack Coleman, senior director of sales and marketing for Allen Harim, based in Seaford. “This is the largest and most progressive distributor in the marketplace so we are excited to see how this partnership will enhance our reach.”

Allen Harim’s Nature’s Sensation brand is raised with no antibiotics ever. The company has also moved to a 100 percent vegetarian feed, to meet rising consumer demand for fresh, healthy poultry products. A new logo and packaging that highlights these changes were unveiled recently across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic.

“We are very excited about this partnership with Allen,” said Jason Lindsey, national poultry buyer for C&S Wholesale Grocers, based in Keene, New Hampshire. “They are a great partner in this and give us the ability to provide a never ever program to all of our customers in this growing category.”

The Nature’s Sensation product line has grown by more than 80 percent in the last year, and Coleman expects similar growth this year with the addition of new product offerings and private label partnerships. The company plans to continue expansion of the brand into other categories throughout 2016.

Nature’s Sensation is one of three brands of poultry available through Allen Harim including Allen Harim traditional and Halal certified brands. All products are 100 percent vegetarian fed, with no added steroids or hormones, and are hand-raised on family farms.

C&S serves about 6,500 stores from more than 50 locations in 15 states. C&S customers include Stop & Shop, Giant of Carlisle, Giant of Landover, Bi-Lo/Winn-Dixie, Safeway, and Target.
