Brookshire Grocery Co. (BGC) hosted grand reopening celebrations on March 29 at two renovated Brookshire’s Food Stores in Texas. BGC Chairman and CEO Brad Brookshire and local dignitaries spoke at ribbon-cutting events, and local store managers presented charitable donations to non-profit organizations.
The stores, located in Kilgore and Midlothian, now offer fresh sushi bars, olive and hummus bars, and expanded varieties of organic produce, imported cheeses and craft beers. In addition, the pharmacies were expanded and now include drive-thru lanes. The Midlothian store now has a bulk foods section, and the Kilgore location now features a sit-down area for in-store dining. The stores also now have additional energy efficient and sustainable features.
“We’re very excited to have finalized renovations and to offer Kilgore and Midlothian customers these updated stores,” said Brad Brookshire, chairman and CEO. “We’re proud to have served Kilgore since 1948 and Midlothian for the past 15 years, and we look forward to many more years of providing quality products and exceptional service for our customers in these communities. We truly appreciate their support and proudly give back through our employee volunteers, school support, civic organizations and various charitable efforts.”
BGC operates 177 stores in Texas, Louisiana and Arkansas, and three distribution centers.
