The Texas Food & Fuel Association will host the sixth annual 2017 Southwest Fuel & Convenience Expo at the Fort Worth Convention Center & Omni Hotel in Fort Worth May 16-18.

New in 2017 is a designated section of the exhibit hall exclusively for first-time exhibitors. Companies range from packaged meat snacks and fuel management equipment to LED signs and more.

“Our organization is pleased with the continued positive responses we are receiving from the changes undertaken to improve, evolve and grow the Southwest Fuel & Convenience Expo,” said Madalyne Lange, chairman of the Texas Food & Fuel Association. “The Southwest Fuel & Convenience Expo is the most effective way for companies to learn more about this dynamic market and build upon their current opportunities.”

The Southwest Fuel & Convenience Expo represents the region’s largest gathering of professionals whose companies are engaged in the petroleum marketing and convenience retail industries.

“The value of the event’s networking opportunities are continually highlighted by both attendees and exhibitors,” said Paul Hardin, president of the Texas Food & Fuel Association.

Texas leads the nation with the greatest number of convenience stores (15,600-plus), with another 8,000 convenience stores surrounding the region. The Southwest region of the U.S., including Texas, continues to be cited by researchers as one of the country’s fastest-growing areas.

Three dynamic educational sessions will be offered: audit readiness tips for transportation fleets, a hands-on demonstration station centered on credit card skimming and cyber and data security, and an overview of the state of the petroleum industry.

In addition to educational sessions, the Southwest Fuel & Convenience Expo will kick off with a Las Vegas-style casino party and include networking receptions, cash and prize giveaways and a PAC Golf Classic at the Ridglea Country Club.

Companies interested in sponsorship opportunities, exhibiting or advertising are encouraged to contact the Texas Food & Fuel Association.
