Foodie’s Markets will open a new store at 87 Leonard Street in Belmont, Massachusetts, this month. A grand opening week is planned for May 15-20 (food and wine tastings will take place May 18-20).
Foodie’s Belmont is located on the lower level of the old Macy’s building in Belmont Center. It is a full-service market with beer and wine, freshly cut meats from an on-premise butcher, seafood, produce, local and artisan cheeses, baked goods and everyday and specialty groceries.
Prepared foods is a focus at Foodies with Chef Brian Sway from notable Boston area restaurants working in a state-of-the-art, energy-efficient kitchen.
Foodie’s Markets is family-owned. The company’s first store opened 20 years ago in the South End of Boston and other stores are located in Duxbury, South Boston and now Belmont.
Company officials say each store specializes in serving a selection of products that are unique to the local community, and each store works to become an integral part of the neighborhood.
