Maverik Inc. will acquire Best Stop convenience stores on Oct. 1 as it continues its growth in Utah and Idaho’s Cache Valley. The purchase includes four stores: Aggie Station, 790 E 1400 N, Logan, Utah; Best Stop Airport Road, 2495 N Main Street, North Logan, Utah; Best Stop 3rd South, 303 S Main Street, Logan, Utah; Best Stop Franklin, 150 West Legacy Drive, Franklin, Idaho.

“Maverik has been a part of the community in Cache Valley for a long time, and we are excited to continue our growth there with these four stores,” said Aaron Simpson, VP of Maverik. “Dave Bessinger and his family have owned and operated Best Stop since opening the first Logan store in 1975, exclusively serving the Cache Valley community. Support from the community was phenomenal in 1975, and Dave was able to open more stores over the years. Dave said that three elements have supported his success over the years: family, employees and the Cache Valley community, and he is thankful for this support.”

Maverik plans to remodel the stores immediately and will invite the community to celebrate and sample fresh food at an open house as each store reopens this year. The company is providing employment opportunities for Best Stop employees at all four stores.

Based in Salt Lake City, Utah, Maverik operates more than 300 c-stores across the western states.
