Wtrmln Wtr has released its Wtrmln Wtr + Strawberry in a first-of-its kind Drink Clean Mission Package.
The Denver, Colorado-based beverage company specializes in cold-pressed juiced watermelon. The new variety is made with Wtrmln Wtr’s base of watermelon, both flesh and rind, with the addition of strawberry and lemon. Wtrmln Wtr + Strawberry is packaged in a special edition Mission bottle that communicates the company’s commitment to natural ingredients and invites consumers to “Inspire Their Friends to Make the Promise to Drink Clean.”
To bring the bottle and brand’s message to life, a percentage of sales from all Wtrmln Wtr + Strawberry products will benefit FoodCorps, a national nonprofit organization that connects kids to healthy food in school.
FoodCorps was built on the foundation that healthy food in schools helps kids lead healthier lives and reach their full potential. To do so, the organization focuses on three areas: hands-on learning about food, including gardening and cooking, offering nutritious options in cafeterias and creating a school-wide culture of health.
“Wtrmln Wtr was founded on the ethos of creating a sustainable, healthier consumer drink that everyone can enjoy. Using our company, brand and products to inspire action and change in our food system is incredibly meaningful to us. This is why we have partnered with FoodCorps, so that we can give back directly to kids in America,” said Jody Levy, founder.
Whenever possible, the new variety will be made using “seconds”—the blemished, sunburned, misshapen watermelons that aren’t viable for commercial retail and are typically discarded. The new SKU joins other flavors in the Wtrmln Wtr cold-pressed portfolio.
Wtrmln Wtr + Strawberry is available at Publix stores and soon will be available at retailers across America in a 12-oz. single-serve size and online for $3.99.
