S&D Coffee & Tea Introduces Infused Beverage Line

S&D Infused Beverage Line

S&D Coffee & Tea has introduced a new portfolio of infused beverages. Inspired by the traditional “agua fresca,” the new infused beverage line features eight non-carbonated, caffeine-free flavors made with real fruit juice, real cane sugar and natural flavors. The flavors are Black Cherry Citrus, Blackberry Lemonade, Cucumber Lime, Ginger Pear, Mango Lemonade, Orange Passionfruit (reduced sugar), Papaya Pineapple and Strawberry Watermelon.

Driven by today’s health-conscious consumers, “better-for-you” beverages are gaining momentum and causing the foodservice industry to invest in expanded options that go beyond conventional soda, iced tea and tap water.

“We’re excited to launch our own line, S&D Infused Beverages, as the demand for flavorful, better-for-you beverages increases,” said Helen Griffith, VP of marketing at S&D Coffee & Tea in Concord, North Carolina. “While today’s consumers are more health-conscious and seek a better beverage experience, they also want flavorful options aside from plain water. That’s where infused beverages come in. The new line of S&D Infused Beverages is the first of many new products that go beyond our coffee and tea offerings.”

There is significant profit potential in healthy, on-trend beverages, S&D says, adding that strategically placed bubblers at the bar or register can encourage impulse purchases and possibly boost beverage profit margins, especially during the summer season.

With a shelf life of 6-9 months, S&D Infused Beverages are available in half-gallon concentrates and come in six bottles per case.

S&D Coffee & Tea, a subsidiary of Cott Corp., has more than 110,000 customers. Its portfolio includes coffee, tea and botanical ingredients.
