Giant Opens 100th Beer & Wine Eatery In Pennsylvania

Giant Food Stores held a grand opening of its 100th Beer & Wine Eatery in Pennsylvania at the Lebanon store, 835 Bowman Street, on Aug. 6.

Giant President Nicholas Bertram, Pennsylvania State Rep. Francis Ryan and Lebanon Store Manager Eric Ludwig marked the opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. In honor of the 100th Beer & Wine Eatery, the company also presented a $500 donation to Lebanon County Christian Ministries.

“The opening our 100th Beer & Wine Eatery is an exciting milestone for Giant as we continue to expand our unique offerings for our customers,” said Manuel Haro, VP of strategy for Carlisle, Pennsylvania-based Giant. “Our customers are at the heart of all we do, from the local products we carry to the services we provide, no decision is made without them in mind. Since the opening of our very first Beer & Wine Eatery, we’ve received positive feedback with customers telling us how much they love the convenience of being able to pick up beer and wine at our stores, and we look forward to introducing this innovative concept to additional locations across the Commonwealth.”

Giant 100th Beer & Wine EateryLebanon customers will find domestic, imported and craft beers and a wine selection in the Beer & Wine Eatery. Customers currently have a “mix-a-six” option where they can create their own six-packs from a variety of craft beers. 

Ludwig said, “With more than 300 varieties of local and national brands available, our associates are ready to assist customers in making their selections for summer barbecues, celebratory occasions or to help them locate a new favorite beer or wine.”

The new eatery seats 30 and is open Monday-Saturday, 7 a.m.-10 p.m. and 9 a.m.-10 p.m. on Sunday. Giant enforces a 100 percent proof-of-age policy for both beer and wine sales. To protect the community, associates will ask for proper identification being a valid driver’s license, passport or military identification card from any customer seeking to purchase alcohol, regardless of age.
