Carbonell, Spain’s top-selling olive oil, is bringing its four single-cultivar extra virgin olive oils to the U.S. market. The company exclusively debuted the collection in Kroger supermarkets across North Texas, with aggressive growth plans to expand distribution in 2020.

“Celebrated chefs and home cooks from around the world have enjoyed Carbonell’s premium olive oils for more than 150 years,” says Stace Sendra, senior marketing manager for Carbonell. “We are excited to introduce our portfolio of 100 percent Spanish extra virgin olive oils to the U.S. These single cultivar offerings provide truly differentiated flavor profiles while sharing the deep Spanish heritage of our products and uniting families who want to create unforgettable cooking occasions.”

Kroger stores throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex now carry Carbonell’s line of four 100 percent traceable extra virgin olive oils. Each product will be available in a 16.9-oz. glass bottle starting at $9.99. The products are:

  • Manzanilla: Made using cold-press Manzanilla olives from Spain’s Extremadura region, this oil is 100 percent sustainably produced and possesses a flavor with hints of green banana and grassy notes.
  • Morisca: Also 100 percent sustainably cultivated in the Extremadura region, this oil is produced from cold-pressed Morisca olives—a varietal introduced to the Iberian Peninsula more than 1,000 years ago with notes of lemon, green almond and fig tree.
  • Cordobesa: Made from olives of the Andalusia region, this extra virgin olive oil features flavors of herbs, tomatoes, artichokes, apples and melon.
  • Arbosana: Crafted exclusively from the Arbosana olive, this oil also produced from the Andalusia region and offers a hint of banana and fresh almonds.

The brand also features a pop-up pour spout for easy use when cooking, as well as a four-sided label intended to give users detailed information about each cultivar product.
