Wholesale, Retail Veteran Griffin Will Take On B&R Stores’ President’s Role

B&R Stores is promoting SVP of Operations Mark Griffin to president and COO, effective Jan. 1, 2020. Griffin has been a key player, leading growth at B&R Stores since July 2016, the company says.

Pat Raybould will continue in his role as CEO and chairman of the board and will remain involved in supporting the company’s strategic growth initiatives and supporting the executive team.

B&R Stores logo“Mark’s promotion to president of B&R is a recognition of the leadership and responsibilities he has undertaken since he came to the company,” Raybould said. “He is highly respected by our associates, vendors and our customers.  I look forward to continuing to work with him for years to come.”

Prior to joining B&R Stores, Griffin had more than 25 years of executive management experience working with SpartanNash, Associated Food Stores and Affiliated Foods.

B&R Stores was founded in 1964 by Russ Raybould. The company has grown to include 20 stores in Nebraska and Iowa that operate under several banners, including Russ’s Market, Super Saver and Apple Market.
