Stuffed Puffs, the chocolate-filled marshmallow brand that debuted this summer at Walmart, is breaking ground Nov. 19 on a new 150,000-s.f. plant in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
Stuffed Puffs are the creation of Mike Tierney, who thought that putting chocolate inside marshmallows allows the chocolate to melt while the marshmallow roasts, leading to an easier, cleaner, faster and failsafe way to make a perfect s’more every time, whether over a fire or in an oven or microwave.
Next summer, Stuffed Puffs will be available at retailers across the U.S. Tierney and his partners; Rich Thompson, managing partner of Factory LLC; and Marshmello, the electronic music producer and DJ, plan to have the new plant up and running by next July 4 to meet anticipated demand.
Meanwhile, Stuffed Puffs’ existing plant in Wisconsin is running around the clock.
