Wegmans Food Markets is now hiring and training full-time employees for its Tysons Corner store in McLean, Virginia. Scheduled to open in fall 2020, the store will employ approximately 480 people, most of whom will be new to the company and hired locally. Of these, there are 180 full-time positions to be filled starting now.
Available full-time positions include everything from entry-level management to culinary professionals such as line cooks. The Tysons Corner Wegmans is part of Capital One Center, which includes commercial, hotel, residential and retail facilities. The 80,000-s.f. store will include a Market Café with indoor and outdoor seating and The Burger Bar, a family-friendly, casual restaurant counter that serves burgers, fresh salads, sandwiches, specialty milkshakes, soups and sides. The site will have parking below, residential units above and a 1.2-acre rooftop park featuring grass, trees and recreational areas for residents and customers to enjoy. It is also accessible by the McLean Silver Line Metro stop.
Wegmans entered Virginia with its Dulles location in 2004, growing its presence steadily ever since. The company now operates 11 stores in the state.
