The COVID-19 outbreak has had an unprecedented impact on the home and housewares industry, and as the International Housewares Association begins to prepare for The Inspired Home Show 2021, it is taking steps to ensure a safe and productive return to Chicago.
IHA, McCormick Place and the show’s vendor partners are working together on an action plan that complies with recommendations and safety procedures from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the state of Illinois and the city of Chicago, while also meeting the needs of the industry. The plan is a work in progress and will adjust to meet changing conditions.
Areas addressed include:
- McCormick Place building readiness;
- Show management areas, meeting rooms and common space;
- Show floor;
- Food service; and
- Best practices and readiness for exhibitors.
The complete plan is posted on the Covid-19 Updates and Resources page on the show’s website at TheInspiredHomeShow.com/covid-19-updates.
The Inspired Home Show 2021 is set for March 13-16 at Chicago’s McCormick Place Complex. For more information or to register for a show badge, visit TheInspiredHomeShow.com.
