Weis Markets, the Pennsylvania-based retailer, has launched a three-week campaign to support the Paralyzed Veterans of America Mission: ABLE campaign. The campaign encourages veterans and their families, corporate supporters and friends to help create an America where our most severely injured heroes have access to what they have earned and deserve: care, jobs and benefits.
In-store, Weis Markets and its associates are encouraging customers to make small donations at Weis checkouts by rounding up their orders or purchasing $1, $3, $5 and $10 vouchers now through Veterans Day, Nov. 11. Customers also can donate by rounding up their purchases when using self-checkout.
“Over the past four years, we’ve generated $550,000 in customer and corporate donations for Paralyzed Veterans of America. We are grateful for our customers continued support of this important cause,” said Ron Bonacci, VP of advertising and marketing for Weis Markets. “Many of our associates have served their country, including our late Chairman Robert F. Weis; we are thankful to them and to all who have served. That’s why we are so pleased to be working in support of Paralyzed Veterans of America who serves more than 40,000 veterans living with spinal cord injuries and other veterans who ask for their assistance.”
