The new Amazon Fresh grocery store in Oak Lawn, Illinois, is now open to the public. Located at 4031 W. 95th St., it is the third Amazon Fresh store to open in the state.
“The Village of Oak Lawn is thrilled to welcome Amazon Fresh as the main anchor at the newly redeveloped Oak Lawn Commons,” said Mayor Sandra Bury. “The store brings hundreds of much needed jobs, high-quality food, low prices and innovative convenience features. We are excited for the energy and excitement it will bring to this gateway into Oak Lawn.”
Amazon Fresh offers a seamless grocery shopping experience, whether customers are shopping in-store or online. The store offers consistently low prices for all, and free, same-day delivery and pick-up for Prime members. It has also introduced new ways to make grocery shopping more convenient, including the Amazon Dash Cart, which enables customers to skip the checkout line, and new Alexa features to help customers manage their shopping lists and better navigate our aisles.
Amazon Fresh has a wide assortment of national brands and high-quality produce, meat and seafood, as well as a range of prepared foods made fresh in store every day – from fresh-baked bread and made-to-order pizzas, to rotisserie chickens and hot sandwiches like its brisket panini. It offers 365 by Whole Foods Market organics, plus national brands like Coca-Cola and Kraft Mac and Cheese; local brands like Turano Baking Co., Oberweis Dairy and Gino’s East frozen pizza; regional favorites like Duke’s Mayo, Ellenos Yogurt and Boston Chowda; and new Amazon exclusive brands like Fresh and Cursive.
Customers will find low-priced items available to shop every day – including 15-cent bananas; 89-cent freshly baked bread; $1.79 freshly baked pizza slices; and $4.97 rotisserie chickens.
Supporting the Oak Lawn community
Amazon supports the Oak Lawn community by creating hundreds of local jobs and by donating surplus food from the Amazon Fresh store to local food banks. To date, Amazon Fresh has already donated over 20,000 lbs. of food (equivalent to nearly 20,000 meals) from the Oak Lawn store.
Customer and associate safety
Amazon Fresh has applied the same comprehensive safety measures in place at Whole Foods Market, such as requiring face coverings and daily temperature checks for all employees and vendors entering the store; requiring face coverings for all customers entering the store; offering free, disposable face masks for those who want one; operating the store at 50 percent capacity; and more.
