Alden’s Organic Doubles Down On Gluten-Free Offerings

Eugene, Oregon-based Alden’s Organic continues to deliver on the brand promise of “Alden’s for All” with 27 gluten-free product certifications and a new Gluten Free Vanilla Bean Sammie. In partnership with the Gluten-Free Certification Organization (GFCO), Alden’s Organic has earned gluten-free certification on all non-gluten-containing products as well as its production facility in Oregon.

While Alden’s Organic has always had a strict allergen control policy in place to prevent cross-contamination, it was important for the brand to go all in and secure the GFCO logo on packaging to reinforce consumer trust.

“From allergies to preferences, families are looking for brands that can support diverse dietary needs. In addition to our dairy free and portion-controlled snacking options, our new gluten-free offerings help ensure we are a brand that has something for everyone,” said Eric Eddings, president and CEO.

The new Gluten Free Vanilla Bean Sammie is the only gluten-free ice cream sandwich with real organic, dairy ice cream on the market. This addition expands the brand’s popular novelty product line to serve more consumers across eating occasions.

  • Gluten Free Vanilla Bean Sammie (SRP: $6.49 – $6.99) – Made with organic vanilla bean ice cream and gluten-free chocolate wafers. Like all Alden’s Organic products, this sammie is also free from artificial sweeteners, flavoring, carrageenan and GMOs.

“Consumers are looking for indulgences to enjoy at home, without the allergens,” said VP of Sales and Marketing Joelle Simmons. “Our new gluten-free sammie pairs the creaminess of our organic ice cream with delicious chocolatey wafers for a treat that is truly satisfying, whether you have a gluten allergy or not.”

The Gluten Free Vanilla Bean Sammie and gluten free certified products are currently available to ship and are starting to hit shelves in packaging with the GFCO label in retailers nationwide. Consumers can explore all of Alden’s Organic’s gluten-free products.
