San Antonio, Texas-based H-E-B has announced its plans to open a store in McKinney, continuing its expansion in the DFW Metroplex. The store, which is expected to open in spring 2023, builds on the company’s longstanding presence in the area and reinforces its commitment to serve more customers in this dynamic and growing part of Texas.
The McKinney store will be located on the northeast corner of Custer Road and Eldorado Parkway. Additional details will be shared at the store’s groundbreaking, which is projected for later this year.
The announcement comes on the heels of two groundbreaking events held in Frisco and Plano, on June 3 and 4, respectively.
Both stores are scheduled to open in fall 2022.
The Frisco store will be located at the northeast corner of Legacy Drive and Main Street. The Plano store will open at the southwest corner of Preston Road and Spring Creek Parkway.
As a Texas company, H-E-B’s presence in the Metroplex runs deep. H-E-B stores also serve communities near the Metroplex including Burleson, Hudson Oaks, Granbury and Waxahachie. Additionally, H-E-B’s Favor Delivery now serves 29 cities across the metro area.
The largest privately held employer in Texas, H-E-B has more than 420 stores and 137,000 Partners in Texas and Mexico, and the retailer continues to be an economic driver as it expands in North Texas and other areas of the state.
