John Thompson has more than 30 years of experience building and managing media solutions for grocery and CPG companies. He is currently president and CEO of SHOPtoCOOK and has been a leader in the digital media industry as VP of strategy and retail development for Insignia Systems, where he developed and managed their access to more than 23,000 retail locations.
Some of Thompson’s previous roles include VP of strategy at INMAR Inc., where he led their digital media strategy development and acquisition strategy; EVP of Unicous Marketing, a leader in digital coupons and in-store media; and SVP for Solar Communications leading direct marketing services.
John spent 20 years at Valassis Communications as president and general manager of Valassis of Canada leading Valassis’ International expansion and served as SVP of digital media where he led Valassis’ entry into the digital and direct marketing industries.
