Wonderful Pistachios Wins Good Housekeeping Health Snack Award

Los Angeles, California-based Wonderful Pistachios has been awarded the Good Housekeeping Healthy Snack Award. The two winning flavors were the No Shells Chili Roasted and the No Shells Barbecue.

The 2022 Healthy Snack Awards highlight snacks in the food space that meet the publication’s nutritional criteria (including caps on per-serving calories, sugar, and sodium). Good Housekeeping‘s dietitian and nutrition experts from the Nutrition Lab analyzed ingredient lists, nutrition facts labels, packaging claims and flavor profiles of hundreds of snacks.

Consumer testers also weighed in on taste and provided additional real-life analysis.

The lab found that the two products were the “highest-protein snack nut” packed with 6 grams of protein per serving. The consumer testers also found that the flavors were “absolutely fantastic” and noted the “consistency in size and freshness.” The two flavors were named the “Best Pistachios” on the publication’s list.

The products have 170 calories, 13 grams total fat, up to 240 milligrams of sodium while also being gluten-free and non-GMO.

The brand’s No Shells Sea Salt and Vinegar flavor also won an award in August 2021 for “Best Nuts” by Parent’s Food Awards.

Located in California, Wonderful Pistachios owns, cultivates and harvests more than 75, 000 acres of pistachio and almond orchards, and delivers more than 450 million pounds of nuts globally each year. The company believes that the warm days and cool nights work together to create an ideal growing environment.

The brand offers a variety of flavors in the In-Shell and No Shells options. Wonderful Pistachios No Shells are available in four flavors, including sea salt and vinegar and BBQ, along with the roasted and salted and lightly salted varieties.
