Terry King

Ithaca, New York-based Rosie has hired Terry King as VP of Sales, focusing on growth of the industry leading turn-key grocery e-commerce platform.

In this role, King will focus on multi-store independent grocers and strategic wholesaler partnerships. He will report to Chief Revenue Officer Merrick Rosner.

“Terry’s engagement with and passion for independently owned local grocers is evident in his words, actions and attitude,” Rosner said. “He has helped thousands of retailers in multiple countries bring their storefronts to life online. As Rosie continues to quickly expand and assemble the strongest team in grocery e-commerce, industry leaders like Terry will empower more independent retailers to come online with Rosie.”

Prior to joining Rosie, King worked for more than six years at other e-commerce software companies in the grocery space in sales and business development leadership roles. His work extended to onsite engagement, onboarding support and training participation to make sure of a clear path to success for online shopping.

“I love the engagement of the independent grocers,” King said. “They are a cornerstone of their communities and have experienced prodigious change over the last decade. I find my work with them to be personally rewarding.

“Rosie’s ability to get stores live fast; support them directly in managing and marketing their online service; and provide seven day a week phone, chat and email support are clear differentiators in the space. It’s thrilling to see the Rosie team bringing great mobile friendly and merchandising forward tech to their clients. For independent grocers, e-commerce is a digital extension of their brick and mortar. And I look forward to serving them while representing a firm that is committed to their future.”

Nearly 300 retailers, representing close to a thousand stores, have selected Rosie as their trusted e-commerce partner and mobile platform. King, along with the recent industry hires of Rosner, Lori Brown, Bethany Matthews and Misty Day, will help Rosie continue to expand and demonstrate the value of Rosie to independent retailers across the country.

In early 2021, Rosie completed a $10 million round of Series A funding, enabling the team to introduce new tools to enhance the shopper and retailer experience, launch new products to provide a seamless omnichannel journey for shoppers at home, in-store, or on-the-go, further invest in monetization opportunities to increase retailer profitability and recruit talent to accelerate product development and expansion across the independent grocery space.
