Fairfield, New Jersey-based Schuman Cheese is celebrating 26 awards across five cheese industry competitions in 2022.
The company received recognition at the World Championship Cheese Contest, World Dairy Expo, American Cheese Society Competition, Wisconsin State Fair and International Cheese Awards.
For 75 years, Schuman Cheese has been recognized at the most prestigious global cheese competitions. Most notably this year, Schuman swept the 2022 World Championship Cheese Contest, taking home first-, second- and third-place honors in the Parmesan category. In addition, Schuman’s Cello Mascarpone was named the Grand Champion at the 2022 World Dairy Expo.
Other first place awards include:
- Copper Kettle Parmesan, 2022 World Dairy Expo;
- Mascarpone, 2022 Wisconsin State Fair;
- Smoky Pepper Rubbed Fontal, 2022 World Dairy Expo;
- Cello Fontal, 2022 American Cheese Society Competition; and
- Sweet Garden Tomato Rubbed Fontal, 2022 Wisconsin State Fair.

Looking beyond this year, Schuman Cheese has several branded cheese innovations planned. Under the Cello and Bella Rosa brands, the company aims to continue leading the industry with offerings like Cello Copper Kettle Parmesan, while pushing the boundaries for great cheese products. Schuman is expanding into growing food categories with brands like Vevan and Delve chocolate mascarpone truffles.
