On Dec. 14, Winn-Dixie will hold the grand opening ceremony for a store at 100 Little Cypress Drive in St. Johns, Florida.
The celebration will have a ribbon cutting ceremony at 7:30 a.m. with live entertainment and sampling. Following the grand opening, activities will continue from 2-6 p.m. on Dec. 15 and 2-7 p.m. on Dec. 16 with live entertainment, giveaways and sampling. The Dec. 16 celebration will also feature an appearance by two of the Budweiser Clydesdales from 5-7 p.m. for customers to take photos.
From Dec. 15-18, the first 500 customers to arrive at the store each morning at opening will also receive a mystery gift card valued between $5-500.
The store will host more community celebrations on Dec. 17-18 with free interactive experiences outside of the store with appearances by the Winn Win Twinns featured in the store’s commercials. Customers will also enjoy interactive family games, live entertainment, cooking demonstrations, free raffle giveaways for $100 gift cards every 30 minutes and store sampling.
In celebration, the grocer held a variety of events to introduce the new store, including a drive-thru giveaway on Dec. 10 in the store’s parking lot. The first 100 cars that arrived outside the store received free giveaways of Southeastern Grocers products, additional prizes and a Winn-Dixie gift card to shop the store.
