Weis Markets has promoted Jack O’Hara to SVP of legal affairs and real estate.
In this position, he is responsible for the strategic leadership and oversight of the day-to-day operations of the company’s real estate and legal teams. O’Hara reports to Jonathan Weis, company chairman, president and CEO.
He joined the company as real estate manager in 2006 and was later promoted to director of real estate. In 2012, he was promoted to VP of legal affairs and real estate, the position he held prior to his promotion.
Earlier in his career, O’Hara worked in real estate and development positions for Citi Trends, Variety Wholesalers and Woolworth Corp.
This promotion follows several others made by Weis in recent months, such as the promotion of Mike Umstead as VP of talent development and associate relations, Amanda Bauman to director of marketing, Maria Rizzo as VP of advertising and marketing and John Driscoll as VP of construction and store development.
