Save-A-Lot, a wholly owned subsidiary of Supervalu has announced that Miller Family Grocers has licensed two of its stores in Ohio. The stores are located at 307 E. Decatur St. in Kenton and 895 N. County Line St. in Fostoria.

The Save-A-Lot stores will continue to offer the Kenton and Fostoria communities affordable, easy access to food and groceries. Shoppers will also now find fresh meat at these locations, and produce will be purchased from local growers whenever possible, according to a news release.

“Save-A-Lot is committed to serving Ohio communities and providing access to fresh produce, meat and groceries at great prices,” said Jeff Miller who, along with son Adam, will acquire the Save-A-Lot stores on June 22. “I’m looking forward to bringing more than 30 years of grocery retail experience to these two new locations. We’re proud to be a member of these communities and look forward to continuing to provide high-quality options for budget-conscious shoppers in Kenton and Fostoria.”

“We’re thrilled to have butchers and meat cutters in our stores to offer customers the freshest meat in town,” said Adam. “And, with our new ‘Pick 5’ program, shoppers can buy a selection of any five specially marked packages of fresh, smoked or frozen meat for only $19.99.”

The Millers have owned and operated Save-A-Lot stores for more than five years. In addition to these two stores, the family currently owns and operates five other Save-A-Lot stores in Ohio and in total employs more than 130 associates.

Save-A-Lot offers a selection of exclusive and national brands, USDA-inspected quality meats, farm fresh produce, dairy, health and beauty aids, pet food and household products at everyday low prices. Save-A-Lot shoppers enjoy savings up to 40 percent when compared to conventional grocery stores—without sacrificing quality, the news release says.

The Kenton and Fostoria Save-A-Lot stores will be open for business seven days a week from 8 a.m.-9 p.m.
