Fresh Solutions Network will be showcasing its Side Delights Farmers Table Organic Potatoes at the Organic Produce Summit trade show, today and tomorrow, July 14, in Monterey, California. The Organic Produce Summit is a celebration of organic, fresh produce growers, retailers and distributors, coming together to share information about the success of this rapid-growth, multi-billion-dollar food sector.
“We are proud to participate in this first-ever show, and feature our Side Delights Farmers Table brand of organic, non-GMO potatoes,” said Kathleen Triou, president and CEO of Fresh Solutions Network. “Our organic consumers desire purity in the food they eat, and we satisfy these consumers with transparency of where these quality potatoes were grown, and how the potatoes were treated.”
Side Delights Farmers Table Potatoes are 100 percent, non-GMO, USDA, and state certified organic. The shopper and retail-friendly packaging includes designs for Red, Yellow and Russet varieties of potatoes, and are available in paper (3- and 5-lb.) and poly bag (3-lb.). Packaging for distribution in Canada (bi-lingual in English and French) is also available.

According to Nielsen Perishables Group FreshFacts Data, organic potato growth outpaces the total category, driven by expansion of items offered and a 12 percent increase in distribution. Organic potato dollar sales account for three percent of all potato sales, up 325 percent over two years ago.
