Gold Creek Foods Purchases Schreiber Distribution Center

Gold Creek Foods, White Sulpher Rd.

Gold Creek Foods has acquired a 124,000-s.f. distribution and production facility in Gainesville, Ga., to meet customers’ and vendor needs and advance its corporate growth business plan.

The company acquired a 24-acre site at 2255 White Sulphur Rd., which formerly housed Schreiber Foods. The site is in an established industrial sector of Gainesville, has rail access, is convenient to Highway 365 for ground transport logistics and is strategically located near all Gold Creek’s production facilities.

Eric Tucker, Gold Creek Foods COO, said, “We’ll phase in our plans, likely with less than 10  employees at our startup of the distribution center, and initially utilize the cooler capacity to serve existing customers. With 13-door docking capabilities, we’ll enhance our receiving and shipping logistics immediately.”

Founded in 2003 and headquartered in Dawsonville, Ga., Gold Creek Foods also has production facilities in the Candler community and on Memorial Park Road in Hall County.

“This acquisition helps confirm our belief that our suppliers and customers are our partners, and this helps prepare Gold Creek for their growth with us,” Tucker added.
