Green Bean Delivery Expanding To Nashville

Green BEAN Delivery

Green Bean Delivery, an online organic and natural grocery home delivery service, will launch in Nashville this month, the Nashville Business Journal reports.

Founded in 2007, the company is based in Indianapolis and currently operates in four states—Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky and Missouri.

The company operates on a membership-based subscription model, but without sign-up or membership fees. Customers select their metro region, their basic starting bin of produce and their delivery schedule. The online store opens on Thursday and closes on Monday, and allows customers to shop and customize their orders. Assuming a customer meets the $35 minimum, delivery is free. The company will pick up old bins and ice packs when it delivers a customer’s new order.

The Nashville warehouse, where deliveries are sorted and packed, is located near the airport.

Green Bean Delivery sources from its own certified organic farms and has partnerships with other local farmers and food artisans. The company already partners with several Tennessee-based farmers and artisans, including Bongo Java, Hatcher Family Dairy, Johnson’s Honey Farm, The Nashville Jam Co., Nashville Toffee Co., Provence Artisanal Breads and Willow Farm’s pasture-raised eggs, according to a news release.

“We are excited to bring the region’s most extensive network of sustainable farmers and artisans to Tennessee and offer our member-focused services to Nashville residents,” Shane Towne, president of Bean LLC, said in the release. “Our success in Midwest markets has provided us the opportunity to expand and now open our virtual doors to the Nashville community. We look forward to a long and fruitful relationship with our new customers.”
