New Kroger Opens in Georgia

On Oct. 27, Kroger held a grand opening for its new 93,000-s.f. store in Milledgeville, Ga. Along with its quality products and convenient amenities, the Kroger will bring more than 150 new jobs to the Milledgeville community.

Located at 2809 North Columbia St., the new Kroger features: a fuel center, starbucks, expanded deli and bakery departments, a bistro, a soup and salad bar, expansive meat and seafood departments, a floral department, an expanded natural foods department, a drive-thru pharmacy, in-store dining and an extensive general merchandise department.

“The Baldwin County Kroger was designed to provide our customers with a variety of services in one centralized location,” said Glynn Jenkins, director of communicatios and public relations for Kroger’s Atlanta Division, in a press release. “We are proud to open this new location, which will bring convenient amenities—like the Kroger Fuel Center and an upscale deli—and more than 150 new jobs to the community.”

As part of its grand opening celebration, Kroger will donate more than $15,000 worth of school supplies—including sanitizer, facial tissues, snack bags and disinfecting wipes—to the Baldwin County School System. The News Group, in partnership with Kroger will also donate reading books to local public elementary schools as part of their Read To Lead program.
