MoneyGram, a leading global money transfer company, has signed an agreement with New Albertson’s Inc. (NAI) to offer money transfer, bill payment and money order services in all Acme Markets, Jewel-Osco, Shaw’s and Star Markets grocery stores.

The new agreement with NAI includes provisions that will allow customers to interact face to face with customer care agents while completing their MGI transactions at more than 400 retail locations.

“Customers will now be able to initiate as well as complete their MoneyGram transactions with friendly store associates, allowing for a more personal and informative user experience,” said Pete Ohser, SVP of U.S. and Canada at MoneyGram.

The agreement also includes provisions for fresh signage that will direct customers to the service desk for all MoneyGram support. Customers can now easily and quickly send or receive funds to friends and family to locations both in the U.S. and around the world.

Acme Markets operates stores in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey and Pennsylvania; Jewel-Osco operates stores in Illinois, Indiana and Iowa, with a primary presence in the Chicago area; and Shaw’s and Star Markets operate stores in Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont.
