New Leaders Appointed At Shaw’s And Star Market

Albertsons recently named Paul Gossett president of Shaw’s and Joe Kelley VP and GM of Star Market.

Gossett’s grocery retailing career spans more than 35 years in the industry. He started with Albertsons in 1977 and has held positions of increasing responsibility, including VP of marketing. In 2001, he served as VP of marketing at Acme before moving on to Winn-Dixie in 2002, where he held various operations roles. He also worked at Nash Finch where he was senior director of merchandising. Gossett joined the Shaw’s and Star Market team in March 2013 following Supervalu’s sale of the stores to New Albertson’s Inc. He most recently served as VP of marketing and merchandising of the Southern Division of Albertsons Cos.

Kelley joined the Shaw’s and Star Market team in October 2015 and oversees marketing and merchandising for the company. He has more than three decades of experience in the grocery industry. He started working at Purity Supreme in 1985. His most recent roles at food retailers in New England and across the nation include EVP, chairman, CEO and president. In addition, Kelley’s experience includes volunteering and serving on food associations and state food bank boards and leadership committees.
