In response to the hot, dry conditions that have contributed to the devastating fire season that New Mexico is experiencing this year, the Albertson’s LLC Southwest division has decided to pull all fireworks from the stores and close the firework tents in their parking lots, effective immediately.

In addition to ceasing fireworks sales. Albertson’s LLC is also making significant contributions to the fire relief efforts in the state. The New Mexico stores are making an immediate $10,000 donation to The Salvation Army’s Santa Fe relief efforts, and the division is coordinating a product donation that will go directly to the firefighters who are working on containing the fire threatening Los Alamos, N.M.
