The Seajoy Group, a vertically integrated farm-raised shrimp producer in Latin America, has introduced its new branded Seajoy® retail ready line of premium Pacific white shrimp. The new line, which includes both all-natural and organic shrimp, comes in 1-, 2- and 5-lb. resealable bags. Seajoy Pacific white shrimp are prized for their size, clean taste and firm texture and come conveniently peeled, tail-on for both raw and cooked. Seajoy organic shrimp, which are 100 percent traceable from the hatchery to the processing plant, are certified by Quality Certification Systems (QCS).
The owners of the Seajoy Group, which operates hatcheries, farms and processing plants in Ecuador, Honduras and Nicaragua, are among the founding supporters of the Global Aquaculture Alliance and all Seajoy shrimp are Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP) certified and also carry the BRC Global Standards Certification.
Seajoy Group was the first shrimp farm in Honduras and Nicaragua to be awarded certification for environmentally sustainable shrimp farming and is currently under review to be the first environmentally sustainable shrimp farm awarded certification by the government of Ecuador. www.seajoy.com
