Roseville, Calif.’s Revionics Inc. has signed K-VA-T Food Stores to use its price optimization software, reports the Sacramento Business Journal.

K-VA-T Food Stores is based Abingdon, Va. It operates 104 grocery stores, with 76 pharmacies and 71 gas stations under the Food City, Super Dollar, and Gas ‘N Go brands in Kentucky, Virginia and Tennessee.

K-VA-T will use Revionics analytic software to see how customers shop at their various stores and what prices they prefer to buy. It also allows the store to create strategic promotions.

Revionics logo“K-VA-T Food Stores is a leader in their market and their trust in us to build a strong partnership further validates Revionics leadership in the price optimization space,” said Marc Hafner, president of Revionics, in a statement. “We are thrilled to kick off their shopper-centric pricing and promotions project this month and we are committed to delivering quick time-to-value for K-VA-T and their customers—which will have a positive impact on their bottom line.”

Revionics software allows retailers to use the checkout equipment they already use to model and analyst sales and inventory.

“Our primary goal in pricing is to offer our customers the most value for their grocery dollar,” said Richard Gunn, EVP of merchandising with K-VA-T, in a statement. “We will leverage Revionics’ unique ability to help us manage our prices in a highly competitive marketplace as well as continue to offer our customers the value they have come to expect from K-VA-T Food Stores.”
