Durham’s New Aldi Opening Earlier Than Expected

The new Aldi grocery store in south Durham, N.C., has moved up its opening date by one day to Wednesday, Jan. 11, with the public invited to come sample and tour the store between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.

The south Durham store is the Essen, Germany-based company’s first location in Durham and features the discount chain’s new, larger building design with an 18,000-s.f. footprint, reports the Triangle Business Journal.

It is located at 7906 N.C. 751 South, and is the grocery chain’s sixth location in the Triangle market.

The Aldi is the first building completed within the Westpoint at 751 commercial development project across from the Renaissance Village and SuperTarget shopping centers.
