Mann Packing Co. is adding two new items to its line of fresh, washed, ready-to-eat vegetables: Brussels sprouts and a new blend for Rainbow Salad™.
Mann’s Brussels sprouts are trimmed, washed and packaged in a microwave steamable 12-oz. bag.
The reformulated Rainbow Salad adds mini-broccoli florettes to the shredded carrots, cabbage and cauliflower mix, also in a 12-oz. bag.
“Rainbow Salad is an incredibly versatile mix, perfect for salads, wraps or sandwiches,” said Lorri Koster, company spokesperson. “We had strong distribution prior to the reformulation and so far it’s been well received by customers and consumers.”
Mann tested the new blend with consumers and 90 percent of those tested said they preferred the new and improved Rainbow Salad to the current blend.
With four vegetables packed into one salad—it is a nutrition powerhouse and the addition of broccoli florets provides added crunch and texture, Koster said.
Mann’s other new item, Brussels sprouts, are enjoying resurgence in popularity—the White House served them as a first course at the state dinner for the prime minister of Great Britain.
“We make an old favorite even easier to prepare,” Koster said. “Brussels sprouts are a super food—loaded with nutritional benefits.”
Mann’s Brussels sprouts and Rainbow Salad are available, shipping nationwide and in Canada.
