Kroger Again a Sponsor of Fiesta Atlanta

Kroger, the nation’s largest traditional grocery retailer, will again support Fiesta Atlanta in 2012. The 6th annual Fiesta Atlanta will take place at Centennial Olympic Park on Sunday, May 6.

Kroger continues to promote and serve the growing Latino community. Its display area at the festival will include a “Kroger Isle,” featuring an interactive area for families to enjoy free product samples and gather information on food items and special deals.

“We are really excited about returning to this terrific event that not only allows us to connect face to face with the Latino consumers in both English and Spanish language, but also helps us to understand their culture and specific needs,” said Glynn Jenkins, Kroger communications and PR director.

Ralph E. Herrera, president of Lanza Group LLC, said, “We are honored to team up once again with Kroger, a company which not only supports hunger relief, breast cancer awareness and more than 30,000 schools in the communities it serves, but also supports people from different communities with different backgrounds and cultures.”

Kroger’s Atlanta Division includes 215 stores in Georgia, Eastern Tennessee, Alabama and South Carolina.

Fiesta Atlanta is a free, day-long festival that features live Latin music on two stages with international, national and local recording artists. The family stage includes lively, colorful acts like Mexican folkloric dancers, clowns, musicians and storytellers. Artists will sell handmade traditional crafts and delicious Latin foods. The festival’s partners will provide samples of their products and interactive displays.
