MyWebGrocer Launches Facebook Circular App

Last updated on September 7th, 2012 at 09:57 am

MyWebGrocer has launched a new Facebook Circular App that allows retailers to share their weekly ad circulars with the 179 million Americans who use Facebook each month.

Some of the early retail partners include Weis Markets, Brookshire’s and Piggly Wiggly Midwest. These stores’ customers can now do their grocery planning on Facebook, where many shoppers already are spending a lot of time.

The Facebook Circular App allows grocers to promote products on their Facebook wall, create content and build conversations, and get real-time feedback from Facebook fans.

Shoppers can start a shopping list that will automatically link to a retailer’s website, locate nearby stores and get directions.

“Seventy four percent of the U.S. internet population is already using Facebook in their digital lives,” said Geoff Strawbridge, VP of product management at MyWebGrocer. “With the Facebook Circular App we’ve made it incredibly easy for consumers to plan their weekly shopping trips to the local grocery store, all within the familiar Facebook environment.”

The Facebook Circular App builds on MyWebGrocer’s robust suite of products that allow retailers to digitally distribute their circulars online, through mobile applications, and now socially on Facebook.

MyWebGrocer drives digital connections between consumers, grocery retailers, and Consumer Packaged Goods brands. MWG manages digital solutions for more than 130 retailers nationally, representing more than 10,000 stores, and 90+ major consumer packaged goods brands.
