Duchy Originals From Waitrose Cookies Come to U.S.

Last updated on June 13th, 2024 at 11:54 am

All-natural Duchy Originals from Waitrose cookies from the brand founded by HRH Prince Charles, The Prince of Wales, are being introduced in the U.S.

Traditionally baked by Walkers Shortbread in the Scottish Highlands, they will be available initially through WalkersUS.com and then in gourmet and natural food stores. The new line adheres to the brand’s commitment to produce a product that “Is Good, Does Good, Tastes Good.”

The four elegantly thin and crisp distinctive delicacies are embossed with the Duchy crest: savory and sweet Original Oaten Biscuits; smooth Highland All Butter Shortbread; spicy sweet Stem Ginger All Butter Shortbread; and Lemon All Butter Shortbread made with Sicilian lemons.

The shortbread and biscuits are made using wheat and stone-ground oats from U.K. organic farms, including from The Duchy Home Farm , The Prince’s estate in the Cotswolds region of southwestern England. The Duchy Home Farm became fully organic in 1986, and is now an internationally-recognized model of best practices in organic farming.

Duchy Originals from Waitrose items have a suggested retail price of $5.99. A donation from the sale of Duchy Originals from Waitrose products is given to The Prince of Wales’s Charitable.

The cookies are produced in partnership with Waitrose , the foremost purveyor of premium food in Great Britain and a division of the employee-owned John Lewis Partnership.
