The 2012 Harris Poll EquiTrend survey has named Speedway the Highest Ranked Convenience Store Brand in the nation. With more than 25,000 consumers participating, the survey ranks brands in a variety of categories including familiarity, quality, performance and trust.

Speedway has been honored as a category leader in the survey for the last three years; however, this is the first year that the company has been named Convenience Store Brand of the Year.

“There is no question that our store associates have a demanding job,” said Tony Kenney, president of Speedway. “We know that each transaction that happens at our stores is not just the exchange of goods and services; it’s an opportunity to connect to our customers. Our store associates strive to provide a consistent, exceptional customer experience for every customer every day. They earned this award by creating and sustaining trust in our customers. I couldn’t be more proud of their achievement or more grateful for this recognition.”

Speedway is headquartered in Enon, Ohio, and is the nation’s fourth largest company-owned and -operated convenience store chain with approximately 1,460 stores located in seven states in the Midwest. Speedway is an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of Marathon Petroleum Corporation. For further information about Speedway, visit www.speedway.com.
