Tampa Bay’s first Trader Joe’s is set to open in Sarasota on Friday as the California company begins its push into the Sunshine State.
The Tampa Bay Business Journal reports that the grocery store opens at 4101 S. Tamiami Trail to high expectations.
“We’ve had people stopping by, saying they’re so excited,” store captain Linda Moffa told the Tampa Tribune.
Trader Joe’s opened a store in Naples in February. The chain also has a store opening in Gainesville before the end of the year.
There are no specific plans for another store in Tampa Bay, but Moffa told the Tribune, “we’re looking all up and down the state of Florida.”
