Four Promoted At Financial Supermarkets Inc.

Roy Bell, president and CEO of Financial Supermarkets Inc. (FSI), has announced the promotion of four associates within the company: Joseph A. (Beau) Wingate Jr. to the position of EVP, director of sales; Lisa Harper to the position of CFO; Kelly Franklin to the position of controller; and Tina Coleman to the position of SVP-director of marketing. Wingate and Coleman also were appointed to the board of directors of Financial Supermarkets Inc.

Wingate came to work for his father, the late J. Alton Wingate Sr., founder of FSI, in 1986. As EVP, director of sales, Wingate will responsible for all aspects of sales, service and retention. Active both in his church and community, he is a member of Cornelia United Methodist Church and serves on the board of trustees for Piedmont College. He and his wife, Anne Marie, live in Cornelia with their two children.

“With 26 years of service to this company, no one loves or knows more about FSI and its history than Beau,” Bell said. “He takes great pride in his role here, and it shows.”

Harper, a lifelong resident of Cornelia and graduate of the University of Georgia, joined FSI in 2001. A proven professional in the area of financial research and analysis, she has led the accounting department during several of the most profitable years in the company’s history. Harper and her husband, Todd, have one son and are members of Level Grove Baptist Church.

“We are very fortunate to have Lisa on our team of professionals,” Bell said. “She brings a lot of experience to the table and has played a key role in our company’s survival during tough economic times.”

A native of Habersham County, Franklin joined FSI in 2008 as assistant controller. After graduating from Kennesaw State University and earning her CPA distinction, Kelly accumulated an extensive background in accounting and auditing in various positions with Northeast Georgia companies. Franklin and her husband, Jason, live in Cleveland with their two children and are members of Cleveland United Methodist Church.

“Kelly is a very deserving and gifted individual who has worked hard to achieve this position, and we are pleased to have her on the FSI team,” Bell said.

Coleman began her career at FSI 13 years ago, transferring from Community Bank & Trust’s corporate marketing department. A native of Habersham County, she assists FSI clients with marketing efforts and strategies as well as coordinates FSI’s corporate marketing initiatives. She and her husband, Bruce, live in Mt. Airy with their two daughters and are members of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Clarkesville.

“Tina has helped grow the FSI brand and has been very instrumental in the growth of our company,” Bell said. “She consistently produces high-quality work and is well-deserving of this promotion.”
