Food City Category Manager Mike Sullivan Passes Away At Age 63

Mike Sullivan, a category food manager for KVAT-Food City, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 9, at Bristol Regional Medical Center in Tennessee. He was 63.

Sullivan was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Nov. 8, 1949, a son of Carla Doecher Sullivan of St. Petersburg, Fla., and the late Jack Sullivan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Jacob Sullivan; and his brother, Jeffrey Sullivan.

Sullivan is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Rosemary Sullivan; sons Mike Sullivan, a missionary in Slovakia, and Steve Sullivan and his wife Melissa of Acworth, Ga.; grandsons Christian and Matthew Sullivan of Acworth; sister Debby Croom and husband Tom of Seminole, Fla.; nephews Pat and Dan Croom; and special companion, his dog, Savana.

The family held a celebration of life service Sunday at Celebration Church in Blountville, Tenn., with Dr. Robert Russell officiating. Private burial services will be conducted at a later date.
