Lucky’s Market Signs Lease For First St. Louis Store

Lucky's Farmers Market

Lucky’s Market, a Boulder, Colo.-based natural and specialty grocer, has signed a lease with Novus Development, owner of Market at McKnight on Manchester Road in Rock Hill. The 26,000-s.f. store will be the first in St. Louis for Lucky’s and is projected to open in the third quarter of 2014.

Though new to St. Louis, Lucky’s says it is a Boulder favorite that has recently begun expanding within Colorado and Ohio. Missouri residents who want a preview will soon be able to visit the grocer’s first store in the Show Me State, which opens in January in Columbia.

Founders Bo and Trish Sharon say they are thrilled to introduce Missouri residents to Lucky’s philosophy that healthy, affordable food is essential to a community’s well-being. Both chefs, the couple met in culinary school and founded Lucky’s in 2003 to provide a new “foodie” shopping experience.

“We are incredibly proud to open in Missouri,” says Bo. “We imagine our stores as an oasis of health, kindness and support—the kind of store we love to shop in ourselves. We look forward to bringing our community new tastes for their kitchens—and continuing to support the passionate Missouri farmers and vendors as well.”

“Just as we invite guests into our home, we invite our customers into our stores for a memorable experience,” adds Trish.
