“Congratulations to Peter on his appointment to the U.S. Chamber’s Committee of 100. This is a great honor for Peter and for NGA and is a testament to the important role of America’s independent supermarket industry in today’s economy,” said Joe Sheridan, president and COO of Wakefern Food Corp. and chairman of NGA.

For more than 50 years the CEOs of the nation’s top trade associations have gathered to represent association members before the Chamber’s board of directors, enhance advocacy efforts and strengthen outreach to the business and trade association community.

“I’m pleased to accept this appointment to the Committee of 100 and look forward continuing NGA’s important work to increase the presence of the independent supermarket industry in Washington, D.C., and beyond,” said Larkin. “NGA and the U.S. Chamber have a strong working relationship and I look forward to continuing our partnership, particularly on public policy issues such as labor, tax, healthcare and immigration that are so important to the business community.”
